#640, Hillary House, pen and ink and watercolour, 10x12. One of Auroras beautiful gothic, historical homes. Built in 1862 it was owned by four prominent physician over the years and now belongs to  the Aurora Historical Society. I always admired it and finally decided to paint it for my miniature historical homes series. This painting was sold last month at the Aurora Art in the park event.

Award winner

#599, Coastal Landscape, mixed media, 20"x26"
My recent trip to Newfoundland inspired this painting. This contemporary artwork was created with a simple palette of colour. I keep in mind the composition, light, negative space and add some detail for a unique look. This painting was accepted by the Varley Art Gallery and won an honourable mention at the Art Guild of Scarborough Show.

#631, Morning Colours, watercolour and ink, 9"x11"
The Atlantic Ocean  with its everchanging colours was my only reference.
